Thermo shrink ribbons

Introduction

Thermo shrink ribbons are used for the external wrapping of coils. During vacuum-impregnation of the coil, they shrink due to the effect of heating, thus contributing to the compactness of the coil. They differ from one other mainly in the type of material. The choice depends on the temperature class and, in some cases, also on the environment in which they are installed.

Table fields (thermo shrink ribbons)

• Weight gr/m: weight grams per meter. Data are retrievable from the supplier.
• Code: the code defines the type of ribbon, normally = NAT. Different ribbons can be defined during customisation and different codes will be defined accordingly.
• Material: material abbreviation. By opening the drop-down menu of the Material field, you see a list of all available materials and can choose the correct abbreviation.
• Thickness: the thickness of the ribbon.
• Width: the width of the ribbon.
• Article: to select the material, use the article code of your management system. This value will allow the applications to retrieve the description and unit cost into the table Material Unit Cost by importing the list of materials available in your warehouse
