Insulating slabs

Introduction

Insulating plates are mainly used in the formation of air gaps or as clamping plates for inductor column or to fix output terminals. They differ from each other mainly in the type of material from which they are made. The choice depends on the temperature class and, in some cases, on the standard to which the element is subjected.

• Width: enter the width of the semi-finished plate.
• Length: here you can enter either the length of the semi-finished product (if you buy by the meter in STD dimensions and cut to size at the factory) or all standardized widths (if you buy already cut to size). The applications check if the exact size exists. If it does not exist, they use a semi-finished product.
• Code: the code defines the shape of the plate, normally = LI. During customisation, plates of different shapes can be defined and different codes will be defined accordingly.
• Material: material abbreviation. By opening the drop-down menu of the Material field, you see a list of all available materials and can choose the correct abbreviation.
• Thickness: enter the thickness of the insulation plate.
• Article: to select the material, use the article code of your management system. This value will allow the applications to retrieve the description and unit cost into the table Material Unit Cost by importing the list of materials available in your warehouse.
