Nuts

Introduction

Nuts are used for the horizontal and vertical tightening of elements, for the ground screw and for fixing output terminals (cable lugs or bars) on plates or insulators.

Table fields (Nuts)

  • Code: Acronym by which the shape of the nut is identified. The abbreviations still in use are:
    DE = Hexagonal nut (standard)
    DA = high hexagonal nut
    other shapes could be defined when customizing applications.

  • Dimension M: M of the internally threaded hole (dimension D in the drawing above).

  • Dim. max: corresponds to dimension E in the drawing above and may be omitted.

  • Key width: corresponds to dimension SW in the drawing above and may be omitted.

  • Thickness: corresponds to the H dimension of the drawing above and may be omitted.

  • Material: material abbreviation. By opening the drop-down menu of the Material field, you see a list of all available materials and can choose the correct abbreviation.

  • Article: to select the material, use the article code of your management system. This value will allow the applications to retrieve the description and unit cost into the table Material Unit Cost by importing the list of materials available in your warehouse.
